After 19 years, Richard Brown bids adieu to BROWNS English Language School

Former Managing Director and Founder of BROWNS English Language School in Brisbane, Gold Coast Australia announced that it's time for him to bid farewell "after 19 years of giving [his] heart and soul" to the school.

"In 2022, after 19 years of giving my heart and soul to BROWNS English Language School, I realised it was the right time to pass on my pride and joy to someone with whom I trust will ensure the organisation’s next evolution of growth," Richard stated as he made the announcement of him stepping down from his position.

He added that "it's been truly comforting to follow BROWNS’ post-pandemic trajectory led by the talented Justin Blake, supported by Nick Chapman and the Monarch Institute family as they continue to drive values that enable high quality educational outcomes and an international reputation for student satisfaction."

While thanking his industry friends who have accompanied him along this 20-year old journey, Richard affirmed that this "was one heck of a ride to have been a part of the BROWNS journey for nearly two decades, that led the school to become an award-winning education provider recognised internationally by both government and industry for the commitment to quality."

"To our students, partners, and competitors - thank you for pushing us to elevate the ELICOS standards of Australia’s international education industry," he stated while also mentioning his former team mates who he described as "The Incredibles."

"You mean the world to me for the impact you made and the experiences we shared. I have learnt so much from all of you and will treasure these memories forever," Richard added.

Apart from stepping down from his role at BROWNS English Language School, he also announced that he has stepped down from his role as member of the Queensland Government International Education and Training Advisory Group.

Looking ahead towards the coming year, Richard confessed that he doesn't yet know what this has in store for him but he did say that he will be "pursuing new opportunities, which is both nerve racking and super exciting!"

At Schools & Agents, we would like to wish Richard Brown all the very best as he takes on his next challenge.
